Veterinary Assistant Meghan with Dog TillaMeghan, who leads the Veterinary Technician team, joined Brookeville Animal Hospital in February 2014. She recently completed schooling to become a licensed veterinary technician.

When she's not working, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog Ripken.

 

 

Adrienne has been a member of the Brookeville Animal Hospital family since 2008. She graduated from the Community College of Baltimore County with an Associates of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2013. Adrienne currently works full time at the National Institute of Health and part time at Brookeville Animal Hospital. Presently she is back in school to receive her Bachelors in Health Sciences.

When Adrienne is not working or in school, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, going on hikes with their dog, and relaxing with their cat. It is her dream to one day own a Prairie Dog!

Heather joined Brookeville Animal Hospital in 2012. She graduated from Stevenson University in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and hopes to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Heather currently works full time at the National Institutes of Health, but still works part-time at Brookeville Animal Hospital. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and she has a dog and three cats!

Veterinary Assistant with Dog CrockettSam graduated from Montgomery College in 2015 with an Associate of Arts degree. She is now pursuing her love for animals by working at Brookeville Animal Hospital. When not at the hospital, Sam loves doing crafts, coaching volleyball, and spending time with her family.

 

 

Jan has been a Veterinary Technician for over 25 years, and has been associated with Brookeville Animal Hospital since 2000. She holds a Bachelor's of Science from Michigan State University in Environmental Education and an Master's of Science from Hood College in Environmental Biology. Currently a Science Teacher with Frederick County Public Schools, she works at Brookeville on weekends and during school breaks. Jan lives outside of Myersville with her menagerie of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, birds and snakes.

Jackie joined Brookeville Animal Hospital in June 2014. She graduated from Delaware Valley University in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Management. She has hopes of pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine. Jackie works part time at Brookeville Animal Hospital and full time at the National Institute of Health. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, working out and spending time with her family.

Veterinary Assistant, Kaitlyn Hakeson, with a ponyKaitlyn joined the Brookeville Animal Hospital team in October 2018. She graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2014 and was working in government contracting before deciding to make a career out of her love for animals. She plans to begin classes to become a licensed veterinary technician in 2020.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at a horse rescue, hiking, and spending time with fiancé, family, and two cats.

 

vet asst julia conley dogJulia joined the team in August 2019. She decided to join the Brookeville team to fulfill her passion for caring for animals, and she's also working on completing her associate’s degree in environmental science at Howard County Community College.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering her time at the National Aquarium in Baltimore to help rescue seals regain their health, exploring with her dog, and spending time at the beach.

 

vet asst brandy chau dog Brandy graduated with a general arts degree from Montgomery College Rockville in 2018, and she joined the Brookeville Animal Hospital team in April 2019. Because of her love for animals, she plans to start school to become a licensed veterinary technician next year.

In her free time, Brandy enjoys playing video games and working out. She also loves spending time with her boyfriend and 4 dogs!

 

vet asst megan hipps cat dogMegan became a part of the Brookeville Animal Hospital crew in July 2018. She is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in biology, with hopes to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian.

When she’s not at work, Megan is staying busy. She enjoys taking care of her horse, Beau; snuggling with her Great Dane, Sadie-Ann, and her cat, Shadow; and going on a ride along with Equine Veterinarian, Dr. Will Engel. Her favorite place on earth is the beach.

 

vet asst jade mcelveen llamaIn September 2019, Jade joined Brookeville Animal Hospital to pursue her life-long dream of helping animals. She is currently finishing up her biological sciences degree at Montgomery College, and to further her education, she plans to earn a Veterinary Technician degree at Penn Foster College.

In her free time, she enjoys teaching people about the Bible, going to the gym, and taking her pup on adventures!

 

vet asst grayson boone dog Grayson completed the Veterinary Assistant program at Carroll County Community College. She used to work in construction management, but in the spring of 2019, she joined the Brookeville staff due to her passion for animals.

In her free time, she spends time with her six dogs at home, hikes, and enjoys the outdoors.

 

 

vet asst reception kaitlin Kaitlin joined the Brookeville Animal Hospital team in September 2017. She is currently attending Montgomery College. Her goal is to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician because she loves to work with animals. In her free time, she loves to bake and spend time with her large crazy family and boyfriend.

 

 

Veterinary Assistant, Gillian Marx, with a feline friendGillian joined the Brookeville Animal Hospital team in October 2018. She is a senior in high school getting ready to go off to college! She is currently attending Pennsylvania State University and is majoring in Veterinary and Biomedical Science. She wants to go to vet school, hopefully at Virginia Tech.

When she's not studying for school she enjoys art and working with animals. She loves her two dogs, Zuri and Piper!

 

Veterinary Receptionist Aurora with Dog SnoopyAurora has been part of the Brookeville Animal Hospital family since 1994. She hails from Washington, DC and has been in the area all her life. Aurora spends most of her free time with her family as well as her two dogs and three cats.

 

 

Princess joined the Brookeville Animal Hospital family in 2007. She hails from the area and has always felt a strong affinity for animals. She is a University of Maryland graduate and is currently working on a Master's degree in Social Work.

She is currently working full time as a social worker and part time at the hospital. In her spare time, Princess enjoys spending time with her daughter, dog and two cats.

ccs karen mayorga dogKaren graduated from James Hubert Blake High School in 2013. Shortly after, she became a groomer and fell in love with working with animals. After deciding to pursue a veterinary career, she joined the Brookeville Animal Hospital team in October 2019.

In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and spending time with her daughter and family.

 

ccs megan mcdermitt horse Megan graduated from Sherwood High School in 2019, and she worked at a pet boarding facility for a short time. In June 2019, Megan joined Brookeville Animal Hospital to further her knowledge and love of animals.

In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, watching hockey games, and horseback riding.
